Waxing Info

Welcome to Female and Male Hair Removal first class professional hair removal service in London.

We use top quality products Perron Rigot, a superior ‘new generation wax’ which is endorsed by the top trainers in the industry and the latest techniques, which makes hair removal a much more comfortable experience than you can imagine.

Waxing is one of the most effective ways of removing hair from the body. Whilst the first experience of waxing may be uncomfortable it only needs to be repeated every 4-6 weeks and with each visit the process becomes easier.

It is important to follow a hygiene procedure, that’s why at Male Waxing London use disposable spatulas (spatulas are never re-dipped into the wax pot after use. A new spatula should be used every time more wax is required) and wear gloves for all intimate waxing.

We provide treatments with a high level of professionalism and the flexibility to book appointments late evenings and weekends.
Prepare for waxing appointment:

If you have a chest or back wax please bring an extra clean shirt to prevent bacteria getting into open pores. Some people may be prone to breakouts after wax treatments on chest or backs but it only lasts for a few days.

If you have intimate wax you will need to get naked from the waist down. Remember that this is a professional waxing service ONLY. Please arrive for your treatment freshly showered or we may refuse to carry out your waxing.

Does waxing hurt?

For first timers it can be painful but we minimize the pain by using a special soft wax (non strip) that does not adhere to the skin. Many clients say that it is not as bad as they imagined it would be … and far less painful than normal strip wax.

Should I shave down the hair?

Your waxing may be more comfortable if the hair is shaved down but remember there MUST be at least half an inch of hair for the waxing to be effective. To guarantee this no shaving must be done within 3 weeks of your treatment.

Is male waxing different to female waxing?

For the majority of male waxing it is carried out in exactly the same way. This includes chest, back, underarms, forearms, top of the arms and legs. If you want male extreme / intimate waxing then a specialist waxer MUST be found. The technique is different to doing female extreme / intimate waxing. If an untrained therapist attempts male waxing with the wrong techniques the injuries can be severe, from ripped skin to severe bruising.

How can I avoid in-growing hairs?

Exfoliate the skin thoroughly to remove dead skin cells. Moisturize the skin every day. If the skin is supple new growth can break through more easily reducing the risk of in-growing hairs and infection.

How long will the results last?

This is a tricky one to answer because everyone’s hair growth is different. In most cases, you will see minimal re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. Continued waxing encourages slower, sparser re-growth.

How often should I get waxed?

If you’re serious about maintaining that clean and sexy feeling, Male Waxing London recommend that you come in every 4 weeks for the first 4 appointments. You’ll then find that you’ll be able to leave longer gaps between your appointments. The choice is yours and we’re certainly not going to lecture you.

Why get waxed?

Men and women from all professions and of all ages get waxed. The modern man and metro sexual spirit demands high standards and starts with their self-care. We hear the sex is better, and this makes sense as the skin without any hair has an increased sensation and sensitivity, plus the extra optical inch.

Contagious skin condition?

NEVER perpetuate your problems on others. If you suspect you contracted something before your appointment, do the right thing and cancel! Your therapist might spot something and decline to treat you.

Is waxing suitable for everyone?

Waxing is a very safe treatment however it cannot be done where there are varicose veins, skin diseases, cuts and abrasions, warts or hairy moles If you suffer from over sensitive skin, peripheral artery disease, peripheral neuropathy or diabetes you should consult your GP before being waxed.

Waxing Aftercare

Avoid:

Sun exposure for 24 hours
Deodorant, hot showers
Chlorinated pools
Solariums, spas and saunas for 48 hours as these will irritate the skin.

Use a loofah after two days, two or three times a week to minimize ingrown hairs. Moisturize daily and don’t shave or tweeze in between appointments and you’ll get great results.
